Bonjour et bienvenue sur le site Mélanie's Playground!

Je me nomme Mélanie Larocque. Je suis une maman d'une fille âgée de 10.5 ans et j'opère ma garderie à domicile depuis déjà 9 ans et demi!

En 2004, j’ai graduée en Éducation de l’Université d’Ottawa.  J’ai travaillée pour le Conseil des Écoles Catholiques Francophones pour enseigner aux enfants de la maternelle à la sixième année. 

De plus, j’ai travaillée comme guide et participée dans l'organisation du camp d’été pour l'école Laurier-Carrière.  J'ai aussi travaillée comme éducatrice à la garderie d'avant et après l'école le Parasol pour cette même école.  C’est lors de cet expérience que j’ai réalisée que ma vraie passion était de travailler avec les bambins.  J'ai travaillée comme éducatrice pour les bambins à la Garderie Lac Dow.

En 2007, après la naissance de ma fille, Beth,  j’ai décidée d’ouvrir une garderie à domicile pour me donner la chance de rester avec elle mais aussi de faire ce que j’aime :  aider les enfants à grandir et se développer en donnant un environnement amusant et stimulant!

Hello and welcome to the Mélanie's Playground website!

My name is Mélanie Larocque. I am a mother of a beautiful 10.5  yrs old daughter and have been owner and operator of my home daycare for the past 9.5 yrs!

Since graduating in 2004 from Teacher’s College at Ottawa University, I have gained experience working with children of all ages.  I have worked for the French Catholic School Board teaching children between the grades of pre-kindergarten to grade 6. 

I have also worked as a guide and helped to organized a children’s summer camp for Laurier-Carrière School.  Children have always been a passion for me and after working in a before and after school program for the Parasol Daycare at that same school, I made the decision of becoming a Toddler teacher at Dow’s Lake Daycare.

In 2007, after my daughter Beth was born, I made the choice of opening a home childcare to stay home with her and continue to do what I love to do:  help children grow and develop by providing a fun and stimulating environment!
